Project content description
Unicon Ruházati és Szolgáltató Zrt. (Unicon Clothing and Services Ltd.) is a medium-sized clothing company in 100% Hungarian private ownership. Our main profile shifted from women's outwear production to furniture upholstery manufacturing in recent years.
We operate a site in Orosháza in addition to the one in Békéscsaba.
In the course of our off-the-peg clothing production we worked for Europe's major fashion companies mainly on the German, Dutch and French market. Our product range focused on female outerwear manufacturing, primarily skirts and blazers, but in addition to these, we also produced pants, blouses and dresses.
We have four decades of experience in contract manufacturing on a cooperation basis.
The deterioration of the clothing industry's situation in Europe, its decreasing profitability and cost increases urged our company to extend its profile in 2003. We started to engage in furniture upholstery production based on the order of an Italian company which became our most significant contract manufacturer partner over the years.
The aim of this project is to further increase the competitiveness of our enterprise. For this purpose, we intend to procure 1 piece of Lectra Vector Furniture Q25 automatic cutting equipment for manufacturing furniture upholstery, and for the streamlining of production-related costs we implement a 55,44 kW nominal capacity solar system , which will presumably enable the annual production of 60 900 kW electricity.
The goal of our enterprise is to continue to strengthen our furniture upholstery business line and rationalize manufacturing costs by way of renewable energy utilization in order to preserve our competitive edge.
